    Get PDF
The maintenance management aims to estimate the equipment conditions over time or to make predictions or diagnosis of failures. With the growing of Information Systems, like as Factory Information Systems, Process Mining technics could be used to support maintenance decisions making. To ensure the quality and reliability of the information obtained, improvements must be made in events acquisitions. This paper proposes recommendations for structuring the records of Factory Information Systems events, aiming to facilitate the application of Process Mining algorithms. We use as case study of a parts manufacturing process for the automotive sector, using a CNC machine. It is concluded that the main cause for the reduction of quality of information is due to lack of delimiters events and incorrect input events by the operator. With the application of the proposed improvements, we try to extract information to optimize costs, increase equipment availability and guide the implementation of improvements in production processes

International audienceGlobal competitiveness challenges manufacturing industry to rationalise different ways of bringing to the market new products in a short lead-time with competitive prices while ensuring higher quality levels and customisation. Industries need to effectively share heterogeneous information during Product Development Process (PDP) within and across their institutional boundaries to be competitive. However, problems with misinterpretation and mistakes have been identified during information exchange due to the semantic interoperability obstacles. Thus, this research proposes a systematic literature review to identify the main researches and the milestones reference works on semantic interoperability field. A rigorous methodology was conducted in different databases, covering the articles published in scientific journals from 2005 to 2015 as a preliminary study had indicated that the incidence of articles related to the subject was more frequent from the second half of the 2000s. The research structure consisted of four steps: Survey-searching, analysis and selection of recent researches; Categorization-categorization of the selected papers; References citation frequency analysis-the selected papers were analysed and the main researches and milestones references were identified; and Main researches critical analysis – the main researches were analysed for their contributions and limitations, their contributions and limitations, resulting in 14 selected scientific articles and 8 identified milestones references. It is evident that this field has interesting perspectives on future research opportunities on semantic interoperability of information issues across PDP, contributing to the new concepts of future factories

    Get PDF
Nowadays, the need for system interoperability in or across enterprises has become more and more ubiquitous. Lots of research works have been carried out in the information exchange, transformation, discovery and reuse. One of the main challenges in these researches is to overcome the semantic heterogeneity between enterprise applications along the lifecycle of a product. As a possible solution to assist the semantic interoperability, semantic annotation has gained more and more attentions and is widely used in different domains. In this paper, based on the investigation of the context and the related works, we identify some existing drawbacks and propose a formal semantic annotation approach to support the semantics enrichment of models in a PLM environment

A control-monitoring-maintenance framework based on Petri net with objects in fl exible manufacturing system. Application to a robot-driven fl exible cell

    Get PDF
The growing complexity of systems and the need for executing large projects have led to the development of complex fl exible manufacturing systems (FMS) demanding specifi c control-monitoring architectures. The problem of failure occurrence tends to increase according to this complexity leading to time-consuming tasks as the localisation and repairing. The occurrence of failures during the exploitation stage can deeply modify the FMS performances or its availability. In this context, the maintenance integration into a control-monitoring system becomes an important issue, improving production time and minimizing unplanned costly breakdowns of FMS. We want to investigate the problem of triggering the maintenance, giving a useful decision support tool to evaluate the system availability since the control system’s early design stage. It also results in improvement of the system’s functionality in terms of effi ciency, productivity and quality. This paper proposes a control- monitoringmaintenance architecture (CMM) for FMS based on Petri nets with objects (PNO), where stochastic rates are associated to the modelling of maintenance planning. This framework is based on a modular and hierarchic model structured in CMM modules. The integration is based on a development methodology in which the maintenance aspects and policies are taken into account from the conception (modelling) stage. These efforts acts as a basis for the control architecture of a robot-driven fl exible cell, connected to the Ethernet-TCP/IP

International audienceProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) has been considered as an essential con-cept for improving the product competitive ability in manufacturing enterprises. The PLM solution aims at providing a shared platform for facilitating the man-agement of the knowledge related to any product development process in or across enterprises. However, facing with different standards, enterprise systems and stakeholders, enterprises still need to deal with interoperability issues be-tween those collaborative information systems, encompassing their capability to find the right information during the whole Product Life Cycle (PLC). The objec-tive of this paper is to cope with the major issue of semantic interoperability, by proposing a formalization of semantic annotations and a prototype for facilitating a coherent, complete and contextualized interoperability of knowledge between all enterprise systems and related stakeholders. An example of the instantiation of our method within a real application scenario in manufacturing domain is present-ed to demonstrate its applicability and use, both at the engineering and the exploi-tation phases

    Get PDF
The Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, also known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS), is an infrequent multisystemic disease inherited in a dominant autosomal way, which shows a high level of penetrance and variable expressiveness. It is characterized by keratocystic odontogenic tumors (KCOT) in the jaw, multiple basal cell nevi carcinomas and skeletal abnormities. This syndrome may be diagnosed early by a dentist by routine radiographic exams in the first decade of life, since the KCOTs are usually one of the first manifestations of the syndrome. This article paper reports the case of a patient, a 10-year-old boy with NBCCS, emphasizing its clinical and radiographic manifestations. This study highlights the importance of health professionals in the early diagnosis of NBCCS and in a preventive multidisciplinary approach to provide a better prognosis for the patient

    Get PDF
The ITASAT-2 project is part of a progressive development of CubeSat space missions at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). Focused simultaneously on space weather and on the development of new technological solutions, the ITASAT-2 mission is based on the previous developments of the ITASAT-1 and SPORT missions. Consisting of three 12U CubeSats in a formation flight, the mission expands on the study of ionospheric plasma movements and density, small-scale ionospheric structures, magnetic field, and radiation environment. On the development of technological solutions, the mission proposes to test a baseline option at LEO to understand the influence of ionospheric phenomena and signal deterioration on geolocation/aviation-related services. While it allows for the development of support technologies closely related to airworthiness and flight safety, the formation flight arrangement is expected to provide novel (temporal) insights on the evolution of ionospheric events. This paper presents an overview of the ITASAT-2 mission with the main mission objectives, the concept of operation, initial Systems Engineering analysis, and expected work for the next phases of the project
